Who are we ?

Focused on the development of reading, education through access to books and the fight against illiteracy, Sipar operates in all 25 regions of Cambodia. Its sole aim: to make books a lever for education, bringing them to the most disadvantaged populations and making them accessible to them. With nearly 20% of the Cambodian population unable to read and write, Sipar's programs contribute to developing access to knowledge and education, and to helping young people and adults alike to progress along the path to literacy. Sipar contributes to human development by meeting the needs of a rapidly developing country whose education system represents a major challenge.

Sipar is a French NGO created in 1982 to welcome refugees in France.
